Chapter 499 - 498: Go See Him
Bella Acker, worried about disturbing Aunt Sienna’s sleep, quickly pressed the connect button and walked out of the ward, whispering, "Hello, Bea."
On the other side of the phone, Bea said, "I’ve asked a friend to pick you up."
"Okay." Bella Acker hesitated for a moment and said, "Bea, there’s no one to look after Ethan here at the hospital. Can I bring him along with me? Don’t worry, I’ll have him wait by the side."
"Sure. Just have Ethan wait in the car for you," Bea agreed. "Get yourself ready first; my friend should be at the hospital entrance in about ten minutes."
"Alright, I’ll take Ethan down to wait for your friend now."
Both hung up the call. Bella Acker tiptoed back into the ward. Aunt Sienna was still asleep. Bella Acker approached Ethan, who was drawing in his notebook, and helped him put on a small jacket, saying, "Ethan, Bella has to go out for a while. Will you come with Bella?"
"Okay." Ethan nodded, obediently put on his jacket, and packed his drawing notebook into his small backpack.
Bella Acker also put on a jacket and then took Ethan to wait at the hospital entrance.
The hospital was a bit quieter in the evening, with only an occasional family member of a patient passing by.
Bella Acker and Ethan didn’t wait long before seeing a flashy red Ferrari sports car pull up at the hospital entrance.
The girl in the sports car was one of the girls who had helped when Bea visited the welfare home. She parked the car on the road in front of the hospital and waved at Bella Acker and Ethan.
Bella Acker walked up with Ethan. "Sorry for the trouble."
"It’s no trouble at all, get in the car first." The car door opened automatically upwards, and Bella Acker first placed Ethan in the car before getting in herself.
The car restarted, roaring off in a particularly flashy manner.
The girl driving handed over a bag from the passenger seat, saying, "This is a dress Bea prepared for you. Put it on."
"Huh?" Bella Acker was a bit stunned. "I’m not going to the gala, so I shouldn’t need to wear a gown, right?"
"Of course you need to wear it," the girl said. "Without it, how can Bea bring you to the gala without attracting attention?" She shook the bag in her hand.
Reluctantly, Bella Acker took it, and seeing the crystal-embellished gown inside, she knew it was expensive.
"I’m just going to meet someone, not attending the gala. Please help me return this dress to Bea, thank you." Bella Acker was adamant about not accepting the dress.
The girl shrugged, "You know Bea’s personality. If I return the dress, she’d probably smack me in the face with it. If you don’t want to wear it, then return it to Bea yourself later."
Hearing this, Bella Acker didn’t want to make things difficult for her, and she nodded, "Okay. I’ll return it to Bea later."
The girl driving smiled and didn’t say anything more.
It was Ethan’s first time in such a luxurious car, and he leaned against Bella Acker, a little nervous, holding onto her sleeve with his small hand.
Bella Acker ruffled his head, and Ethan looked up and grinned at her.
The sports car sped quickly and stopped with a whoosh on the road not far from the gala venue.
The girl said, "That’s the villa where the gala is being held. Wait here, and Bea will come out to get you. I’ll look after this little one for you; Bea told me to take good care of him."
"Thank you."
