Chapter 27 Making trouble

Chapter 27 Making trouble

Wang Cuihua continued, "What do you mean by her own money? Don't think I don't know. The money for the second son's wedding and the construction of a new house was all given by you. She wants to use this money to pay off the debts she owes."

Mu Shuyun looked utterly disappointed; Wang Cuihua was beyond saving. She said, "No matter what money we use to pay off the debts, we didn't ask you for any money, did we? Besides, we paid for your wedding, and we also paid for the house you lived in as part of your marriage."

Wang Cuihua retorted, "So what if it is? It's only right for you parents to pay for your son's wedding and to build him a house."

Mu Shuyun's head was buzzing. This was too unreasonable! So it was only right for his family to have their parents pay for things, but it was wrong for the second son's family to have their parents pay for things.

Mu Shuyun said, "All sons are the same. We treat you and the second son the same, without favoring either family."

The commotion inside the house was quite loud, especially with Wang Cuihua craning her neck and staring wide-eyed, attracting many villagers who wanted to watch the show.

Some villagers peered over the wall, while others ran into the yard and peered into the house from the pigsty.

Granny Zhang overheard this too, and she realized she was in trouble. It seemed she had let something slip.

Although she felt guilty, she couldn't bear to see Mu Shuyun suffer. The two of them were best friends.

Granny Zhang walked into the house and said, "Tsk tsk tsk... What's going on here? I say, eldest daughter-in-law, what are you doing here? Your father-in-law isn't home, and your mother-in-law is weak-willed, so you come here to bully her? How can you act like a junior like this?"

When Wang Cuihua saw Zhang Pozi arrive and start scolding her, she became even angrier. She said, "What do you know to scold me? Our family affairs are none of your business."

Old Lady Zhang thought to herself, "If it weren't for my loose tongue, what would you know? You know nothing!"

She continued, "No matter what it is, sit down and discuss it properly. You're craning your neck and glaring, and you're so loud. Aren't you afraid of scaring your own child?"

Wang Cuihua looked down at the child in her arms. "Hmph, scared the child? This is also a child of the Kong family, their great-grandson. Even if the child is scared, it's their fault."

The villagers who had come to watch the commotion exchanged speechless glances. They hadn't expected the rumors to be true; Wang Cuihua was utterly unreasonable. She was practically a female rogue.

When Kong Xiufang returned home, she saw a large crowd gathered around her house. After figuring out the situation, she went over, picked up Kong Jianguo, and led Kong Jianjun to another room.

Wang Cuihua was just thinking about how to use her tantrums and sulking skills when her sister-in-law came to her rescue and gave her the child without any hesitation.

Kong Jianjun carried the child into Yunya's bedroom and played with his younger brother using Yunya's toys. He was really afraid that his brother would be frightened by their mother.

Without her children around, she doesn't have to worry about what others think. She can boldly use her talents.

No sooner said than Wang Cuihua plopped down on the ground. With her legs spread wide and her feet kicking hard, she began her performance.

She slapped the ground between her legs and started crying loudly. She cried and sang curses at the same time.

"My dear mother, my life is so miserable! My in-laws treat me like dirt, bullying this poor soul. They're all heartless and cruel to me... Waaaaah!"

The villagers who had gathered to watch the spectacle began to chatter amongst themselves. Some accused Wang Cuihua of being greedy. Others, listening to the insults, remarked that they sounded almost like singing and admired Wang Cuihua's sharp tongue.

Wang Cuihua cried and cursed for a while, but seeing that no one paid attention to her, she became furious and began to hurl all sorts of vulgarities.

They're all reproductive organs anyway... "Mother's vagina, father's penis, grandmother's legs, grandfather's genitals, maternal grandmother's maternal grandmother..."

Everyone present stood frozen in disbelief. Good heavens, what kind of daughter-in-law is this? How could she say such hurtful things? If they had such a troublemaker in their own family, they'd kick her out. They'd never keep a daughter-in-law like that.

Mu Shuyun was so angry at the harsh words she heard that she almost fell over, but Kong Xiufang caught her.

Kong Xiufang couldn't argue with her either. She was a young woman who hadn't even married yet. If she were as shrewish as her sister-in-law, her bad reputation would spread, and how would she find a husband in the future?

Besides, her sister-in-law used such nasty language, she wouldn't have said it herself. It's infuriating to listen to.

Kong Xiufang realized that continuing this commotion wasn't a solution. Turning her head, she saw Granny Zhang, pulled her aside, and whispered, "Aunt Zhang, could you please go to the carpenter Huang's house in the village and find my elder brother? Tell him to come back and bring his wife home."

Her second brother and sister-in-law went to the market to sell tofu and haven't returned yet, and Kong Tongming went to work and isn't home either.

Over the years, Wang Cuihua has caused trouble quite a bit, but she only dares to come after finding out that there are no men in the house.

Wang Cuihua's cursing grew more and more intense, her voice growing louder and louder, attracting more and more neighbors to gather around and watch the spectacle. As she cursed, she gestured with her hands, her face contorted in a ferocious expression.

Her mouth was drooling from all the cursing, and there was white foam at the corners of her mouth. It was disgusting to look at. A young woman in the village with obsessive-compulsive disorder saw her mouth and couldn't help but run away to gag.

Mu Shuyun was trembling with anger. She pointed at Wang Cuihua and said, "You...you're acting like a scoundrel! How can you curse like that! Don't you have any shame?!"

Wang Cuihua didn't care. She glared at Mu Shuyun and said, "Hmph, what about me? I'm going to let everyone see how your family bullies me!"

Just then, Kong Xiangguang returned. He forcefully pulled Wang Cuihua up and scolded, "Enough! Stop embarrassing yourself here! Go home right now!"

Wang Cuihua refused to give up. She broke free from Kong Xiangguang's grasp and continued to curse, "I'm not going back! I want everyone to know the true colors of your family!"

Kong Xiangguang shook his head helplessly, then turned to the onlookers and said, "I'm sorry, everyone has made a fool of themselves. I will discipline her properly." With that, he forcibly dragged Wang Cuihua home.

Wang Cuihua was taken away, and many villagers dispersed. A few villagers were still whispering among themselves as they walked away.

When he got home, Kong Xiangguang questioned his wife, "What happened today? What trouble did you cause again?"

Wang Cuihua glared at him fiercely and shouted, "You heartless bastard! We're family, you should be on my side!"

Kong Xiangguang snorted, "Hmph, I know even if you don't say it. It's just that Granny Wang told you my little sister brought back 5000 yuan, and you want a share. Why should you take money that someone else worked so hard to earn? Did you cook for my little sister, help her with the laundry, or give her anything nice? We've separated our family, you know that?"

Wang Cuihua flew into a rage, jumped up, clapped her hands, and cursed, "You, Kong Xiangguang, you're a coward! You don't care about your own wife and all you do is criticize me. Who am I doing all this for? Isn't it all for the good of this family?"

He jumped up and down in front of Kong Xiangguang while cursing, and punched Kong Xiangguang in the chest with his fist.

"I don't want to live anymore... Waaaaah... You all bully me... Go live with your mother and sister! I don't want to live anymore..." Wang Cuihua cried and cursed.

The neighbors all heard them arguing, but none of them came to break it up. Except for Granny Wang, Wang Cuihua had offended everyone.

Seeing Wang Cuihua's tantrum, Kong Xiangguang was both angry and anxious. He knew that reasoning with her was pointless, so he grabbed her hand and shouted, "Stop making a scene! If you keep this up, this family will really fall apart!"

Upon hearing this, Wang Cuihua paused briefly, but quickly resumed her crying and fussing.

Kong Xiangguang sighed helplessly, released Wang Cuihua's hand, turned around and sat down on the bedside, silently smoking.

He began to wonder if he had misjudged her; she wasn't like this when they went on their blind date, so how did she become like this?

Perhaps he should have listened to his parents and believed the rumors when he was looking for a partner. He shouldn't have threatened them with a hunger strike. Now he's starting to regret it.

But seeing his wife's tear-streaked face, he couldn't bear to leave her. He still loved this woman very much. He was heartbroken; what should he do with his wife?

A tense atmosphere filled the room, and both remained silent. Kong Xiangguang thought to himself that perhaps they needed some time to calm down and think carefully about how to live their lives from now on.
